Enthusiastic and always focused on what the patient needs, Dr. Michael Kennis brings to the field of medicine a refreshing and cordial approach to procedures that most are familiar with. Beginning his education at Tulane University and completing medical school at The American University of Antigua, Michael has accumulated experience in a multitude of venues around the country, making his work in mobile medicine no stranger to him. Michael’s specialty in Family Medicine helped him hone in his skills in forming long-term patient-provider relationships, while his later work as an Urgent Care Physician at “CityMD” added a diverse and always changing layer of medical experience to his repertoire.
Following his passion for medical aesthetics and his ability to learn quickly from hands-on experiences, Michael founded Velour Medical in August of 2020, with him taking up the role of Lead Physician and Founder. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Velour broke ground as the first at-home luxury concierge aesthetics service, bringing a refined yet friendly experience into the client's own home. As shown by the constant growth and success of Velour, Michael is always looking to innovate and advance the company and its expertise.
The tasks of tearing down the stale patient-provider barrier and destigmatizing enhanced beauty are always forefront in Dr. Kennis' mind, as he and Velour Medical continue to establish themselves as disruptors. His willingness to take risks that better the patient and his vision of expanding the reach of his practice to anyone and everyone seeking the refreshingly luxurious and highly personalized care that Velour offers has been instrumental to the company's sustained growth.
